PCS Balochistan Eligibility Criteria

  • Conducting Body: Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC)

  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of Pakistan.

  • Domicile: Must have a valid Balochistan domicile.

  • Gender: Open to male, female, and transgender candidates.

  • Education Requirement: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (14 years of education) from a recognized university with at least Second Division.

  • Age Limit:

    • General age limit is 21 to 35 years as of 1st January of the exam year.

  • Age Relaxation:

    • Government employees and candidates from backward areas may receive relaxation as per BPSC rules (usually up to 40 years in special cases).

  • Number of Attempts: No specific limit on attempts; candidates may apply as long as they meet age and qualification criteria.

  • Language Medium: Exam is usually conducted in English and Urdu, depending on the subject type.

  • Eligible Candidates: Both fresh graduates and currently employed individuals in public or private sectors are eligible to apply.

What is PMS?

PCS Balochistan stands for Provincial Civil Services of Balochistan, a prestigious competitive examination conducted by the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC). It is held to recruit capable individuals for Grade-17 gazetted officer posts in various departments of the Government of Balochistan.

Through this exam, successful candidates are appointed to administrative and managerial roles such as Section Officers, Assistant Commissioners, Tehsildars, and Assistant Directors, where they play a vital role in governance, development, and public service delivery within the province.
