CSS Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of Pakistan or a permanent resident of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

  • Age Limit:

    • 21 to 30 years on 31st December of the year preceding the exam.

    • Age relaxation of 2 years (i.e., up to 32 years) is available for certain categories (e.g., government employees, special zones).

  • Education Qualification:

    • Must have a Bachelor’s degree (14 years education) from a recognized university.

    • Minimum 2nd Division (Pass class) is required.

  • Number of Attempts:

    • Maximum 3 attempts are allowed for CSS exams.

  • Domicile:

    • Domicile of any province or region of Pakistan (e.g., Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, GB/FATA, AJK) is required.

  • Both Genders Eligible:

    • Male and female candidates can apply.

    • Special arrangements are made for disabled candidates (on request).

  • Registration with FPSC:

    • Apply online through the FPSC (Federal Public Service Commission) portal within the announced dates.

What is CSS?

CSS (Central Superior Services) Pakistan is a competitive exam conducted by FPSC to recruit officers for civil services. The exam includes a written test, psychological assessment, and interview. Candidates are tested on both compulsory and optional subjects.
